After over many years in the making, my book Feed Your Fertility is now available!
Co-authored with my dear friend and esteemed colleague, Laura Erlich, we have spent hours upon hours writing, revising, and revising again to bring you the very best information we could compile in 200+ pages based on our combined three decades of professional and personal experience in the fields of Chinese medicine, fertility, pregnancy, and real food nutrition.
Whether it's due to the mounting stress and toxins in our modern lives or simply the fact that many couples are waiting longer to start a family, fertility challenges are on the rise. Whether you've just started thinking about making babies or are experiencing challenges trying to conceive, we've written this book for you.
What's so special about Feed Your Fertility?
There are tons of books, products, and services on the market these days aimed at helping you to optimize fertility so that you can have a healthy baby and the family you've envisioned. While you may find lots of helpful tools, it can be overwhelming too. Our goal with Feed Your Fertility was to simplify the process of making babies.
Nutrition made easy
For starters, eating for fertility does not have to be complex. You don't need to juggle dozens of supplements or stick to unrealistic dieting goals. Instead, we will guide you through some simple ways to truly nourish your body so that your food can actually work for you and you're only taking supplements you really need. We've included thirty five easy and delicious recipes that even the most remedial cook can master.
Finding balance in your busy life
Feed Your Fertility brings a fresh approach to nourishment that goes way beyond what you eat. We show you how your lifestyle may be inhibiting your ability to conceive, and provide doable solutions to get you back on track including simple meditations, the best exercise choices, and generally setting up the best lifestyle for baby making – while still living your life.
Getting the right support when you need it
As acupuncturists specializing in fertility, we have advanced training and experience in the eastern – as well as western – medical worlds. We will walk you through all of your options for treatment, how to identify your personal health imbalances that may be interfering with your fertility, and how to use Chinese medicine to improve your odds of conception.
For those who need or want medical intervention, we explain:
- Your natural and medical treatment options for common fertility issues
- How to navigate the medical fertility world and when to seek help
- What to do if you are dealing with specific infertility issues
From choosing the right foods to finding the right doctors, it is our deepest intention that Feed Your Fertility will empower and inspire you along your journey to becoming a parent – regardless of the path that you may take.

I am super excited to buy this e-book but Barnes and Noble won’t allow me to purchase it because I am not in the US! How do I get my hands on this?
Emily says
Hi Emily. There was an odd glitch on Amazon’s end. They have assured us that they will get it resolved shortly. So sorry for the inconvenience!
Susan says
I don`t see a kindle purchase version on Amazon for the book :-/. Just the paperback. Does anyone else have that issue? I would like to take advantage of the special launch price.
I am looking forward to reading the book 🙂
Emily says
Hi Susan, Thanks for your question. If you follow the Amazon link in the post, click on See all 2 formats and you should see the Kindle version. Please do let me know if you continue struggling.
Susan says
Emily, no I still don’t see the kindle option :-(. I assume it is because I don’t live in the United States, as another reader who commented here had the same issue, but with Barnes& Noble. Thanks for your reply and good luck with the book launch!!
Emily says
Hi Susan. This should be resolved shortly – so sorry for the inconvenience! You should be able to access the book soon!

Just wanted to let you that I unfortunately still can`t access the kindle version of the book from outside the US.

hi Emily! I follow your blog and bought the book. It’s excellent. My question is: I currently AM 12 weeks pregnant. Do these dietary recommendations continue in pregnancy? Is gelatin safe to eat while pregnant? Also, I have a good source of raw milk from a biodynamic farm but had stopped because of pregnancy. Do you think it is safe to continue?
Emily says
Hi there, thank you for your kind words. Yes, you can continue with these recommendations through pregnancy and nursing. I feel comfortable continuing with raw milk from a trusted source. However, you would need to make the decision yourself depending on your source and how confident you feel.
Alexia says
Hi, Is there a digital version available for us Canadians?!! I was a bit disapointed at Barnes and Nobles checkout when I was notified it was for purchase of US residents only. I really want a copy of this!
Emily says
Hi Alexia, this problem should be resolved shortly. So sorry about the inconvenience!

Hi there, has the Amazon kindle version been sorted out yet? I live in South Africa and can see the option to get the kindle version but it doesn’t work, it keeps sending me to the paper back version, but then won’t deliver to me. Thanks
Emily says
Hi Alyson,
Yes, the international version is now working but hurry, as the sale won’t be on for much longer.
Thanks so much for your patience!

Hi Emily, don’t know if you saw my post above, but do you recommend this rating progam to continue after pregnancy is achieved?
Emily says
Hi there, sorry for the delayed response – I have replied to your previous comment.

Dear Emily. I bought your book, its wonderful.
I struggle with hashimotos and therefore infertility.
I already eat almost as you recommend. I do have a few questions though.
Dairy. I cannot tolerate dairy except from ghee. Will I have to substitute the 4 daily cups of milk?
Beef/lamb. I find it hard to eat these everyday. Will cooking with beef tallow once a day be an ok substitute some of the days?
Gluten. I have a glutenallergi, not celiac disease, but a direct allergy leading to anafylaxis. Will my husband consuming gluten be a problem in our babymaking?
We have a four year old easily homemade daughter but my condition is very different because my hashimotos hit so hard postpartum.
I started working with an acupunturist and incorporating meditational activity, seems to do me good.
I hope you find your time to answer.
Best wishes Tina

Hi Tina, I really can’t give any medical advice as I am not your health care practitioner but I imagine your holistic practitioner would be able to assist with some of these questions. If not, I would consider finding a more fertility minded practitioner to assist you.
Tina says
Thank you. I am still confused about the dairy. Will I have to substitute with something else? I don’t see that as medical advice, its directly aimed at the specific diet you recommend.
